EMBRACING EDUCATING EMPOWERING Karen refugees from Burma.
Student Body Home for Students
Projects: *Home for Students One (west of HuaHin) & Two (Ratchaburi). 80 Karen students from difficult or dangerous home lives. All students are sponsored to attend local schools. In addition, they learn nutrition, farming, building and many other life-skills for a more hopeful future. Students are also involved in wider projects of emergency aid to new refugees, medical trips to remote villages.
SPONSORSHIP NEEDED @ 1200 baht/month
*Medical Care and Training. A volunteer nurse visits remote villages monthly. Many Karen have little to no access to medical care. Connect3e also teaches health and hygiene to prevent sickness or even death from preventable diseases.
MEDICAL ASSISTANCE PROJECT @ 10,000 baht/month
*My Brother My Sister. As funds permit, Connect3e provides emergency aid to Burmese/Karen refugees who have just arrived, or are struggling to establish life, in Thailand. Currently Connect3e pays the salary of a teacher and gives supplies to a remote village to help run a local education program.
*University Scholarships. Many Karen students (with Thai ID) cannot access loans from the Thai government due to their parents having no Thai ID cards. Connect3e offers scholarships for university fees to assist Karen young adults committed to being future leaders for their people.
FEES ONE YEAR 25,000 baht/student.
